What are the config options for ReportAway! for FreshBooks?

Answer

Options settings are accessed on the "Administration->Options" screen. Each option setting is described below:

Option Label
 Description
Employee:
This field stores your FreshBooks user name. It can either be the user name you use to log into FreshBooks with or your full name as defined in your user profile.
Employee Id:
This field stores a unique number assigned by FreshBooks that is used to identify you internally. It is loaded from FreshBooks by the Setup Wizard and should never be changed manually unless directed by support.
Rate:
This field stores the billing rate configured for you as a team member in FreshBooks. It is loaded from FreshBooks by the Setup Wizard. Rate is one of the few items not automatically synchronized with FreshBooks. If this changes it must either be manually synchronized or you can re-run the setup wizard to download it from FreshBooks. This rate is used for any time entries associated with a project with a billing method of "Hourly Staff Rate" which is added as a line item to an invoice.
Subdomain:
This field stores a name that is unique to your organization's account in FreshBooks. For more details on this please visit http://www.aciresystems.com/reportaway-for-freshbooks-faq/8-reportaway-setup-on-blackberry/21-subdomain-setting
Auth Token:
NOTE: THIS FIELD is DEPRECATED. This field stores a FreshBooks generated number that uniquely authenticates you as a user of FreshBooks. If your password at FreshBooks changes, the Auth Token must also change. This field must be set correctly for ReportAway! to be able to communicate with FreshBooks. For more details on this please visit http://www.aciresystems.com/reportaway-for-freshbooks-faq/8-reportaway-setup-on-blackberry/21-subdomain-setting  .
Refresh on Open?:
When set to on, list screens will always refresh/synchronize list data with FreshBooks prior to displaying the list. The only reason to turn this on would be if there were many other people changing list data in FreshBooks while you were out of the office.
Service Request Timeout:
Determines the number of seconds that ReportAway! will wait for an outstanding request to FreshBooks. For very poor areas of coverage(e.g. GPRS only), you may need to increase this number if you are experiencing timeout errors.
Request Page Size:
Determines how many items are downloaded from FreshBooks in a query. The default setting of "0" means FreshBooks determines the page size.
List History (Days): Some lists (e.g. invoices, time entries) allow you to restrict how much storage is used on your device by limiting the amount of FreshBooks history is kept there. This field stores the amount of history expressed in days which is retrieved from FreshBooks while loading a list.
Invoice Status Filter: By default, ReportAway! will only query for invoices with this setting (e.g. draft). When in the invoice list browser, this setting can be overriden to see a much broader set of invoices
Show Sync Progress:
When set to "Yes", there will be a progress pop up window displayed for all interactions with FreshBooks. When set to "No" many, but not all, interactions will happen in the background without a popup window.
Refresh Age Limit: When you open an item in an editor ReportAway! it looks at the date it was last synchronized with FreshBooks. If it is older than the current time minus the refresh age limit (in minutes), a refresh query to FreshBooks is performed before opening the editor. If set to "0" a refresh query is always performed to FreshBooks prior to opening an editor. If your FreshBooks data experiences a high churn from other staff while you are on the go consider setting this to zero.
Client Display By:
In list screens and pull down lists, this setting determines whether clients are displayed by organization name or contact name. Where you have multiple contacts at the same organization in FreshBooks, it is recommended this setting be set to "Contact"
Show Record Detail: When set to "On" editors will display additional detail in each screen, leave this setting "Off" unless directed otherwise by Acire Systems support.
