IMPORTANT: This upgrade will cause loss of any Invoice data that has not been synchronized with FreshBooks. Please ensure the procedure below is executed to avoid data loss.

  3. Memory, radio, and battery optimization. Invoice, Estimate, Client, and Expense lists will now only contain “Active” items. Archived and deleted items are no longer reconciled to device.
  4. Duplicating an expense now sets the date of expense to date when duplicating.
  5. Free version maximum client count is reduced to 1 from 3.
  6. Duplicating a Project now also includes associated tasks from originating Project.

NOTE: If you are using the free version of ReportAway, upgrading will reduce your maximum client count from 3 to 1. If you are using a free license and if you do not want to reduce your client count DO NOT UPGRADE.

 

IMPORTANT: This upgrade procedure must be executed to ensure no loss of option settings from earlier versions.

  2. Download R3.0.0 from the site where you originally downloaded.
  3. Restart your device.

  5. Launch ReportAway! and run the Setup Wizard menu item from the main screen to access and reconcile your FreshBooks data. You will be prompted to re-authenticate with the FreshBooks service.
  6. Click the “Project List” button from the ribbon of the “Administration” screen. This will ensure that all projects are fully reconciled from the FreshBooks service.

  5. NOTE: Manually entered authentication tokens are deprecated in R2.2.0.1. This means that if you are an existing user with an existing authentication token it will continue to work after upgrade. However, it is recommended that on the next change of your token or password that you run the setup wizard to get a new token via the Oauth protocol.

Upgrade Notes:

IMPORTANT: Upgrading from prior releases will cause a loss of setup options unless the upgrade procedure below is followed.

  1. Prior to installing the new release, run the "Reconcile Now"  menu item from the main screen to ensure that all pending changes on device are sent to the FreshBooks service.
  2. Backup your device using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. IMPORTANT: Failure to backup your device will cause a loss of all Options settings and will thus require you to run the Setup Wizard to configure your FreshBooks access settings.
  3. Download the new version of ReportAway! for FreshBooks from that site from which you originally downloaded. If you upgrade from a different site, you may have to delete the currently installed application prior to download.
  4. If prompted to grant trusted access to ReportAway! for FreshBooks grant the access.
  5. Restart your device.
  6. Launch ReportAway! for FreshBooks. You will get a dialog message indicating that your "license key has failed validation...". This is normal. Go to the "Administration->License Administration" screen and select "Check Subscription" from the menu. Your license key will be re-installed from the Acire Systems subscription service. 
  7. From the main screen run the "Reconcile Now" menu item to ensure synchronize with the FreshBooks service.

Updates

1. Add activity timers feature. Start a timer with 3 clicks from main screen. Time entries are created from closed activity timers.

2. Add  ribbon menus to main and administration to screens improve usability.

3. Add new Network Diagnostics feature to menu of the "Administration" screen as well as a "Troubleshoot" button to setup wizard to launch Network Diagnostics screen on setup problem.

4. Remove "Close" button from bottom of all edit screens. Allows quick roll down to "Save" button. Use escape key to exit edit screens.

5. Add "save on exit" prompt to edit screens with unsaved changes.

7. Minimum supported OS version has been raised from OS4.2.1 to OS4.5.0

8. Repair issue where it was possible to get "Unknown xxx id" dialog messages when creating Expenses or Time Entries when referenced projects, clients, tasks, or categories that had previously been deleted.

3. Repair issue where duration field value entered via "click and spin" on BlackBerry OS5.0 could result in negative durations. Duration field is no longer clickable on devices with hard keyboard. Duration values are now direct numeric entries.
4. All new expense entries have amount field initialized to 0.
5. Add use of "unassigned" status to expenses when there is no assigned client.
6. Improved exception handling.
