TOPIC: Report only seending default
#41
Report only seending default 2 Years, 1 Month ago
When I use Report All even after I mark all in Browse Time Records I only get the default record in my report. Do I need to delete the default? I've tried only marking the non-default records but the default is the only one that shows.

I'm using this on a Blackberry Storm with OS 5.0.0.328.

Thanks

You shouldn't need to do anything with the default record.
A couple of questions:
1. When you look at your time records in the time browser are they marked as complete. For example:
"Jan 4 * My Time Record" <- The '*' means the status of this record is "complete" and thus eligible for reporting. If you see a '-' instead of a '*' that means the record is still in an "open" state and not eligible for reporting. You can change the status of any time or expense record in the respective editor.

2. Ignoring the fact that the report does not contain the records you are looking for, does it get successfully sent through to the report receipient?

Thanks Randy, I think that explains it because all the time records except the default record are not complete and yes it does get through to the report receipient.

Is there any printable documentation (seems like I need it).

Cool. The intent of the status field of the time and expense record is to give the user some control over what does and does not get included in reports. For example, if you have time or expense records which you are still waiting on some information on to update, you can leave them in a "open" state and they will be excluded from reports.

After you do a report you will see the status character flip to a 'x' value. That means the record has been reported and will not be included in future reports. You can't edit a reported record but you can duplicate it and then edit it....

Our documentation in two forms. The first being video guides available at www.aciresystems.com/reportaway-videoguides , so those aren't printable. The second is a series of FAQ articles at www.aciresystems.com/faq . These are printable in that each article has a "pdf" icon that if you click on it you will get a pdf which you can print. Obviously these are very focused upon a specific topic and are not structured like a user guide.
The video guides are for the most part a complete set of documentation, but they are not a great reference format if you don't want to watch an entire video.
