So Close but very promising 2 Years, 4 Months ago

Hello:
First off this application is awesome. Sooo much potential. I have been looking for over 5 years for an application that does exactly what this application does and was always amazed that someone did not write something for this space. I am so glad to see this.
I used to use Windows Mobile with RFCONS timetrakker to export time into quickbooks. It worked perfect except it was windows mobile. I have been looking all the time for an app that will import time into Quickbooks and when I saw this I was beyond excited. There are 2 issues that would keep me from using it (at lease for me).
#1) As a consultant I use quickbooks timer and in the NOTES section of a single timer entry I describe what I did on that particular day. They are typically bulletted items that could have several lines. Then when I bring the timer entry into the invoice the notes section comes over to the invoice and all is well. ReportAway imports the description into the notes section. However, it is only one line :( . Even if I have multiple bulletted items in the description it still only imports the first text field after "Description". This does not work for me since my customers need to know the detail of the consulting I am doing for them. This may be a quickbooks limitation but if there is a way to do it in ReportAway I would purchase this right away.
#2) During the time entry I would love to be able to just enter time in the "DURATION" field instead of having to actually enter a start and end time. It is a pain to have to do that. Most times I walk out of a customer and simply enter 4 hours into my log. That is what I would love to do as an option. Right now it appears the duration field is not editable. I could live with this if #1 was fixed but it would be a nice feature request. Perhaps you need it there for the integration with BB calendar.
Anyway, this is a wonderful application for consultants. If you could solve #1 I will jump on board.
Thanks again for your any help

Well, I found a quick work around for this and it seems to work well. I just keep typing on the description line the items that I want bulleted on the description line without pressing a new line. But, I put in a \n after each item. So it would be something like: Install server \nInstall router \nTrain customer, etc. This will result in (3) separate lines when imported. So that is cool.
Thanks
Mike

Hey thanks for that tip Mike! :cheer: I'll be adding a FAQ article with this tip.

Cool. One other thing I did to make it even easier to use this method was to set up an "autotext" entry on the berry to put in the \n for me. So I just type along in the description field and press nn and it substitutes it with the \n. I actually made it \no so it gets the "o" as a bullet point on the notes section. It works awesome and makes data entry much faster.
Just FYI.
