How do I include service date in QuickBooks Invoices?
Answer
Each time record reported by ReportAway! to QuickBooks includes the start date. In some cases it is desirable to have this date included in the corresponding invoice line item. But, by default most QuickBooks invoice templates do not have this field enabled. The good news is that it can be easily enabled using the procedure below.
1. Open
an invoice and add items to it from an imported “iif” file from ReportAway! .
2. You
should have a window open in QB labeled “Create Invoices”.
3. Right
click the menu “Customize” and select the “Additional Customization” menu item.
4. Select
the “Columns” tab in the “Additional Customization” window.
5. Check
both the “Screen” and “Print” check boxes for the “Service Date” field. Change
its Title and Order to suite your desired invoice layout.
6. Save
and Close.
Please note that the
procedure above corresponds to QuickBooks Pro 2008 on a Windows PC. Some of the
details might be slightly different on a different version of QB or OS.
